Maria M. Rodriguez de Tavares

Maria M. Rodriguez de Tavares, of Danbury, CT, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Danbury Hospital. She was 82 years old.

She was born on March 26, 1942 in San Jose de las Matas, Dominican Republic, daughter of the late Arturo Rodriguez and Maria E. Perez.

Maria enjoyed gardening , volunteering at church , and playing bingo with friends

Maria is survived by her loving family, her children; Ramona, Manuel, Hector, Fausto, Bolivar, Rosa y Arismendy , she had 20 grandchildren  and her 12 siblings, which of only one remains alive, Felicia (Lindo).

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday January 3, 2025 from 5pm-7pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street) with a service beginning at 7pm. A private cremation will follow. Please visit www.danburymemorial.com to send the family condolences.
