Maria Rita Cardoso Da Mata, of Bethel, CT, passed away unexpectedly after an accident on April 27, 2024. She was 19 years old.
Maria was born on September 7, 2004 in Ribeirao Preto, Sao Paulo, Brazil daughter of Rogerio Souza Da Mata and Angelica Carvalho Cardoso. She graduated from Bethel High School in 2022. Maria was a sophomore at CCSU, she was working on her bachelor’s degree in business/marketing. Maria had many goals for the future.
Maria was full of life and a joy to be around. She made friends with everyone. Maria was always smiling and made it her goal to make others smile. Maria loved to travel. She loved entertaining others and cooking for them, Friendsgiving was a big event for her. She also loved all animals. Maria’s greatest passion in life was having her friends and family around her, she loved them all.
Maria is survived by her loving parents Rogerio and Angelica, her sister Sofia and her boyfriend Kyle, and her many aunts and uncles. She will be greatly missed by many.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Thursday May 2, 2024 from 4pm-8pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury). Please visit www.danburymemorial.com to send the family condolences.
