Maria Elena Aguiar Ferreira

Maria Elena Aguiar Ferreira, Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully with her beloved family by her side on Saturday January 25, 2025 at Bethel Healthcare Center. She was 86 years old.

Born on December 17, 1938 in Vitoria, Espirito Santo, Brazil, daughter of the late Jose Franque de Aguiar and Maria Margarida Santos. Maria was married to the love of her life Clotevao Ferreira. Together they immigrated to the United States in 1985. Clotevao predeceased his wife on December 19, 1999.

Maria is survived by her two daughters Regina Elena Lima and Regina Celia Hawks, her four sons, Carlos Magno, Marco Antonio, Julius Cezar and Estevao (Steve), her grandchildren; Dianna, Magno, Paloma, Andrea, Aline, Andre, Alice, Izabella, Patrick, Helena, Rafael, Julia, Lucas, Bruna and Jessica and her great grandchildren; Noah, Nina, Vivian, Evelyn, Jackson, Daniel, Camila, Santiago, Marcela, Julliana, and Matteo.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday February 7, 2025 from 5pm-7pm with a service at 6:30pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street).  Please visit Danburymemorial.com to send the family condolences.
