Margaret Caroline Nichols (Faulkenberry), 84, of Bethel Connecticut, died peacefully on Sunday, August 1st, surrounded by her loved ones. She was predeceased by her husband Leslie Brown Nichols. She was born in Lancaster County South Carolina, on May 31, 1937, daughter of the late James Redman, and Exie (Roberts) Faulkenberry.
Margaret held various jobs throughout the years, she formally worked for Springs Mill in South Carolina, American Radionics, Messenger Manufacturing Company and National Semi-Conductor in Connecticut, as well as, Burger King in New York. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Bethel. She enjoyed visiting with her family, gardening, 4-wheeling, deer hunting, and playing pinochle. She would help any one that she could and was a good friend to the folks of Spring Meadows Apartment in Sharon Springs New York, where she lived in later years.
She will be sadly missed by; her two children, James Welsh Jr. and his wife Charlene, Bill Welsh and his wife Jeanne; twelve grandchildren, Stacey, Tracey, James III, Sarah, Donald, Erik, Kevin, Brian, Keith, Adam, Travis and Breanna; fifteen great-grandchildren, Matthew, Maddison, Cassondra, Zakary, Zachary, Katrina, Megan, James IV, Hailee, Brent, Jaxson, Dawson, Nathan, Aiden and Ryan; one great-great-grandchild, Paxton and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her three sisters, Aline Lane, Nita Childers, Geraldine Lowery (spouse Marc). She was predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held at New Milford Center Cemetery in New Milford Connecticut on Friday August 13, at 10 am.
