Margaret Susan Bouton

Margaret Susan (Romard) Bouton passed away November 25, 2022 at her home in Gaylordsville surrounded by her loving family.

 Born March 25, 1939 to Margherita (Montagna) and Joseph Romard in Brooklyn, New York, she lived her younger life in Brooklyn, where she met and married the late Richard Bouton. In 1966 they moved to New Milford, CT with their three children and eventually moved to, and settled in, Gaylordsville. Much of Marge’s professional life was spent as a bank associate in several New Milford area banks, a career she finally retired from nearly 20 years ago.

  A 50-year resident of Gaylordsville, Marge spent her retirement as an active member of the Gaylordsville Methodist Church, the Gaylordsville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the local AARP, and the Red Hat Ladies, as well as working the polls every election day. She also enjoyed many years as a volunteer at New Milford Hospital. Her last years found her relaxing at home with her cats and her backyard animal friends like the deer, the bears, the birds, and the squirrels. She also loved the visits from her many friends and family members, as she passed time putting together the many puzzles she enjoyed.

  The family wishes to thank everyone who visited and those who aided Marge through her final days among us. Bless you all.

 Memorial services will be held at the Gaylordsville Methodist Church ( 687 Kent Rd, Gaylordsville, CT 06755) on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 12:30pm.
