Luis F. Oria(Lou), passed away peacefully with beloved family by his side on September 3, 2024. He was 83 years old.
He was born in Spain in 1941 to the late Braulio and Agapita Oria.
Lou graduated from Edison High School. He met and married Phyllis Davidson. They recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Lou worked in the aerospace industry as a model maker for many years where he assisted the team who worked on a service mission for the Hubble Telescope. He enjoyed golfing with
friends, working in his gardens, watching wildlife, being outside, and caring for his family, grandchildren, and pets. Lou is not only survived by his loving wife, Phyllis but also his 3 daughters, Debra, Theresa, and Catherine; his 2 grandchildren Nina and Josh; his brother and spouse, Braulio and Mary Jane; his sister, Maria; his sister in-law, Bonnie; his numerous nieces and nephews; and his grand- pets. He was preceded in death by his father, Braulio, his mother, Agapita; and his brother, Joe.
A celebration of life will be held on October 26th, 2024, at the Jewish Community Center, located at 9 Route 39 South, Sherman, CT, 06784. The service will begin at 11 am. Please
