Luis T. Lapaix De la Cruz passed away on December 8th, 2025. He was born on March 7th,1959 in San Juan La Maguana Dominican Republic to Faustino Lapaix and Geraldina De la Cruz. He grew up with an unwavering love for sports especially softball, baseball, and anything that involved competition. Whether watching a game, cheering from the stands, or playing with all her heart, sports were one of her greatest joys. His passion was contagious, and everyone around him felt that energy. He also had a great love for dominoes, a game he approached with seriousness, strategy, and that characteristic spark of his personality. A simple game would become a major event laughter, playful arguments, competitive banter, and unforgettable memories. For him, the game was art, connection, and pure fun.
Known for being affectionately demanding, he had a unique way of challenging the people he cared about pushing them to be better, debating with them, and even arguing in a tone that almost always ended in laughter or a hug. His strength, his humor, and that stubborn streak made him impossible not to love. Each of them will forever carry the memories of his laughter, his guidance, his character, and the very special place he held in their lives. His children, his extended family, and all his loved ones will remember him as a protector, a source of strength, and a man who loved deeply and intensely.
Above all, he was a man deeply devoted to his family. He leaves behind a large and loving family who admired him greatly.
