Lucy Marie Wood

Lucy Marie Wood, of Danbury, CT, passed away with her family by her side on September 19, 2025 at Danbury Hospital after a valiant but strong battle against ALS. She was 70 years old.

Born on April 27, 1955 in Lewiston, Maine, daughter of the late Hampy and Armande (Begin) Lozier. Lucy graduated from Danbury High School in 1973 and shortly after met the love of her life John E. Wood III at a dance. They married on August 17, 1974 and have enjoyed a life full of love and friendship.

Lucy was a mechanical inspector with Amphenol for over 50 years. Lucy loved nature, hiking through the trees and all the animals. She loved music and dancing.Lucy was also a big UConn and Patriots fan. She was very outgoing and everyone’s friend.  Lucy made people feel understood and validated, she listened with concern and gave advice when needed.

Lucy is survived by her loving husband of 51 years John, her children; Carly Message, Collin Wood and Dylan Wood and his wife Barbara, her sister June Lozier, her niece and goddaughter Sienna Arpi and her husband, her great niece Subhadra Gonzalez Arpi, her sister-in-law Jane (Frank) Joo and brother-in-law James and many dear friends.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday September 27, 2025 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street) from 10am-12pm with words of remembrance and celebration beginning around 11:30am. A private cremation will follow.
