Louis Coppola, 86 years old, born on July 26, 1936, in Bridgeport, CT to the late Lilian Rose and Anthony Coppola. He passed away at home surrounded by his family on February 22, 2023. He will be in our hearts forever.
Louis was the oldest of 5 children: sisters Kay and Annette and brothers, Tommy and Tony, who pre-deceased him. He formed a close bond with his sister Kay, as she was closest in age. They were together in some of the same classes, went to dances, enjoyed music, and worked together in the family business. He later became lifetime business partners with siblings Annette and Tommy. Louis excelled at Fairfield prep boys high school. He attended Ohio State University and graduated with a degree in psychology. He surrounded himself with many flowers, and loved his backyard and porch.
Louis is survived by his wife, Madeline Coppola, his children Bryan and Lisa, his siblings Kay Blakeman, Annette Coppola, and his grandchildren Francis dePierro, Neil Coppola, and Sabryna Coppola. Was predeceased by his brothers Tommy and Tony Coppola.
Lou was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His daily support was cherished by his family, and will be deeply missed.
Lou pursued a career in the automobile industry in the family business, Coppola Ford in Mount Kisco, NY. He enjoyed music, art, dance, gardening and cuisine. He was a devout catholic, and enjoyed attending mass daily.
A funeral mass will be said in his honor on March 3, 2023 at 2pm at St. Peter's Church, 104 Main Street, Danbury, CT.
