Lorena L. Veness

Lorena Louise Veness, also known as Lori, passed away peacefully in her home in Danbury on April 26, 2023. She was 50 years old.

Lori was born on September 6th, 1972 in Danbury. She was the beloved daughter of the late Herbert and Jean Veness. Lori loved and missed her parents dearly after their passing.

Lori thrived working as a Medical Records Reviewer for Nuvance Health. Her passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Whether it was swimming at a hotel pool, steak dates, or getting their nails done; she always found ways to spend time together. She enjoyed watching reality shows with Kimmy or scary movies with Mickey. She loved butterflies, purple, cats, country music, and Pokemon Go. She was devoted to making memories.

Lori is survived by her loving children, who she swears she made “all by herself”; Caitlin Bouaravong (Macario), Kimberly Viana (Alden), and Matthew Viana (Megan). She is also survived by her siblings; Herby, Dawn, Jeanne, and Danny. As well as her grandchildren; Kenneth, Kayden, Dante, and Kendal.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Thursday, May 4th, 2023 from 5-7 pm, at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury CT). Followed by a gathering at the VFW building from 7:30-9:30 pm (Veterans of Foreign Wars at 5 Byron Street, Danbury CT).
