Linda Sue Ehrhard (Harker), of Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 with her family by her side. She was 66 years old.
Linda was born May 6, 1957 in Danbury, CT to Nancy Harker and the late Roger Harker. She attended Newtown, CT schools, graduating in 1975. She earned certifications from the Warren Institute Business and Technical School.
She married her lifelong love Dennis on August 26, 1978. She worked as a bookkeeper/secretary at East Coast Sign & Supply in Bethel, CT for 25 years, but her most cherished jobs were those of mother, grandmother and wife.
Linda enjoyed a wide variety of activities from gardening, cooking and watching golf to motorcycle rides and shooting paintball guns. Above all else, she loved spending time with family, friends and her dog Neveah, especially at Cozy Hills Campground or parties at her home. She spent a large portion of her life on the sidelines cheering her kids on in their sporting events. Linda possessed an amazing ability to make everyone she met feel like they were a part of her family, earning the name "Mama E" from all of her children's friends because she treated them like her own children. Her love, kindness and compassion were felt by everyone she came in contact with.
Linda is predeceased by her father, Roger Harker, and her grandson Elias Xander Rosado. She is survived by her mother, Nancy; her husband of 45 years, Dennis; her 3 children, Brian and his wife Brittany, Jeffrey and his wife Lindsay, and Alicia and her fiance Chris Rosado; 7 grandchildren (soon to be 8) Derek, Colten, Raegan, Landon, Elliott, Elijah and Riley; and all of the friends that became her family.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 23, 2023 from 2pm to 4pm at the Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury, CT). In honor of Linda, please wear bright and vibrant colors.
