It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Linda Kaye Edwards announce her unexpected passing on Wednesday July 3rd, 2024. She was born on March 29th, 1947 in San Diego, California to Donald Wesley Williams and Lou Seale Babb. As a young girl her favorite activity was to ride her horse Red in the desert of Arizona.
After high school graduation she proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era until her enlistment period ended, whereupon she earned her honorable discharge in 1969. As of recently, Linda retired in 2023 from the State Attorneys Office in Danbury where she was a Senior Clerk for 19 years.
Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed spending time in her garden, shopping for antiques, reading and sewing. Linda was a long time parishioner of St. Peters church of Danbury.
Linda is survived by her children: Stephanie Lauer and Christine Bates (Jason); her grandchildren Ryan and Logan Lauer and Callianne Bates. She also leaves her sisters, Nancy Blotevogel and Donna Biggs. Along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her brothers Richard and Jimmy.
A celebration of life gathering will be held at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St. Danbury, CT. 06810) on Wednesday, July 10th 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, July 11th at St. Peters Church (104 Main St, Danbury, CT 06810), with internment to immediately follow at Wooster Cemetery (20 Ellsworth Ave. Danbury, CT.)
