Lillian R. Lee

Lillian R. Lee, of Danbury, CT, went to be with the lord on August 22, 2024 after a several year battle against cancer. She was 85 years old.

Lillian was born on January 19, 1939 in Pensacola, FL, daughter of the late Hollis and Creona Leshure. Lillian was married to the love of her life Roosevelt Lee. Roosevelt predeceased his wife. Lillian moved to Danbury, CT in (add).

While Lillian’s children were young, she stayed home to care for them. Once they grew up, she worked in the kitchen at Western Connecticut State University. Lillian was a very outgoing person; she always spoke her mind. She enjoyed singing gospel songs and prayer to the Lord.

Lillian is survived by her beloved children; David Lee, Ethel Lee, Roosevelt Lee, Isaac Lee, Geneva Lee, Josephine Lee and Essie Daniels, several grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Lillian Larosa Lee.

A celebration of life gathering will be celebrated on Wednesday August 28, 2024 beginning at 10am at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street). The service will begin at 11am. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery (20 Ellsworth Avenue).
