Leonard W. Russo moved onto his next adventure on August 20th, 2024. He was born on August 1st, 1965 in Danbury, Connecticut to John Russo and Mary Phillips.
Lenny was always up for an adventure, which usually had dirt involved. From playing in mud puddles to driving a quad and tinkering with trucks. He was always one to lend a hand to someone in need, with his bucket of tools, six pack of Bud, and great stories-his sense of humor knew no bounds. He enjoyed salt water fishing with the LeBlanc boys, playing darts and softball. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters, and watching football and NASCAR. He was a life-long Steeler’s fan, and to the chagrin of his siblings, always mom’s favorite.
Leonard was predeceased by his parents, in addition to the mother of his children: Tammy L. Wilmot.
Leonard is survived by his children: Tamara, Leonard Jr, and Katelyn (David), in addition to his longtime partner: Dawn Fitzgerald. His memory is carried on by his siblings: Debbie (Walt) Wirag, Diane (Brian) Taylor, John (Marizete) Russo, and Douglas (Kim) Russo; in addition to his granddaughters: Arwen, Delilah, and Adeline; as well as his many nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews, and his many aunts and uncles. Leonard will be missed by many life-long friends, but he will especially be missed by his best-friend: Laurie LeBlanc.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
