Lay “Vongsavanh” Phanthavong passed away on January 15, 2020 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. Lay was born on July 16, 1976 in Laos to Kongvene (Bounpheng) and Bounma Phanthavong. Husband of Scarlett A. Recuenco Sulca.
Lay a loving soul that touched the lives of everyone he met. He was a happy, kind and giving person who was always the life of the party. Lay enjoyed sports, and especially loved to watch football and play golf. He is deeply loved and will be missed by many.
Lay is survived by his loving wife Scarlett, his daughter Amelia Breece, his sisters Meng Phanthavong and Dang Kom (Sam), his brother Mong Phanthavong (Da), as well as many loving aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday January 18, 2020 from 10 Am – 12Pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St. Danbury, CT 06810) with Cremation to follow at Stone Family Crematory (125 Bullet Hill North. Southbury, CT 06488)
