Kevin Michael Smith, of Danbury, CT, died unexpectedly on Saturday March 9, 2024. He was 57 years old.
Born on December 18, 1966 in Danbury, CT, son of Katherine Womack and the late Flint Smith. He graduated from Danbury High School in 1984. Mike had a love for cars and how they worked, he took this passion and made a career out of it.
Mike was an avid drag racer; he spent many hours working on cars and spending time at the track. He was an old soul, he enjoyed old movies and making people smile and laugh. In his youth he loved tractors and being on the farm.
Mike is survived by his loving mother; Katherine, his siblings; Flint (Blue) Smith (Michelle), Tara Sinkler (Michael), Jackie Nicholson, Jesse Maroney and Ronald (Rollo) Moore, his nieces and nephews; Daruis, Deavon, Carter Blue, Braylon and Paityn and other nieces and nephews, his beloved life partner of 18 years and best friend Kellie Iasiello and her children; Brandon, Gabriel and Grace and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by not only his father Flint but also his brother Jeffrey Purvis.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday March 15, 2024 at Victory Christian Center (23 Eden Drive, Danbury) from 12:30pm-2pm, guest may arrive to the church beginning at 12pm. Interment will be private. Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street) assisted the family with cremation.
