Kevin Saplio Obituary

Kevin Ronald Saplio passed away on August 28, 2022 at New Milford Hospital in New Milford CT while surrounded by his loving family. Kevin was born on October 20, 1971 in Danbury CT to Ronald J. Saplio and Joan Brock Saplio.

Kevin lived in New Milford since the age of 2. He attended New Milford schools, graduating from New Milford High School in 1989. Kevin graduated from Southern CT University in 1992 with a BA in Art. Most recently he lived in Southbury, CT.

In addition to his beloved wife, Kristin, Kevin is survived by their two children Tyler Kevin Saplio and Ryan Joseph Saplio, his parents, Ronald and Joan Saplio, his sister Lauren Saplio Murphy, and brother-in-law Robert Murphy III, nephew Colin Robert Murphy, niece Kara Marie Murphy and numerous friends and extended family.

Kevin worked for many years at Jewelry Designs in Danbury, CT as a polisher and stone setter and most recently as a truck driver for N.F.I. Trucking in New Milford, CT.

Kevin was loved by many, from his big bushy beard to his goofy voice. He had many things he wanted to do before this would happen, but we feel that he had already done so much for us all. Kevin will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Kevin enjoyed cooking for his family and always making something new for them. He loved all animals especially his many rescue dogs (Jade, Paige, Finn, Milo, and Koda). Kevin enjoyed creativity in painting and drawing. In recent years raising chickens was a growing interest. Kevin enjoyed hiking, canoeing, fishing and camping. Kevin climbed Mt. Washington with his father at age ten. Kevin was a Scout Den Leader for Pack 15 and Troop 444 in Middlebury. Kevin enjoyed his toys (even as an adult), including RC racing cars.

Kevin was a great friend to many and was always willing to lend a hand. Even if Kevin didn’t know how to do something, he figured it out. There was nothing he would not try to do if he could.

A Visitation is to be held on Friday September 2nd, 2022 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St., Danbury CT 06810) from 4 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 4 p.m. A Funeral Mass is to be held Saturday September 3rd, 2022 at St Teresa of Avila Church (146 Main St S, Woodbury, CT 06798) at 11 a.m. Burial to be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
