Kathleen Dawid Obituary

Kathleen L. (McCarthy) Dawid, a lifelong resident of Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital on July 3, 2024. She was 81 years old.

Born on August 3, 1942 in Danbury, CT, daughter of the late Ambrose and Katherine (Stock) McCarthy. Kathy attended Danbury Schools and worked in the Brookfield School District for over 20 years before she retired. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. 

Kathy is survived by her loving children; Alice (Richard) Collier, Linda (Craig) Duncan, John Dexter, Ronnie Faw, Lenora Faw, Kevin Dawid, her beloved grandchildren; Amanda, Matthew (Katie) and Megan Duncan, Alexis Howell, Aubrey Faw, Alexandra Leeds, Destiny Leclair, Evan and Ryan Dawid and great grandchildren; Jake, Zach and Daniel Duncan, Aliana and Analiz Ramos, Jackson Joyner and Aviana Brown. She was also survived by her siblings; Carol Woodruff (Lynn), James McCarthy, Robert McCarthy (Sandy) and John McCarthy and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Kathleen was predeceased by her grandson Craig David Duncan II and her siblings; Richard, David, Norma and Marguerite. 

A private cremation will be held. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to Regional Hospice or a charity of one’s choice.
