Kathleen Mary Bachand

Kathleen Mary Bachand of New York, NY, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2020 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT.  Kathleen was born on November 10, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Dayton, OH.  She received an associate’s degree from Miami-Jacobs College before coming to New York City.  Before retiring, Kathleen worked as a credit analyst for many years for United Way of Tri-State.  A fighter for what she believed in, Kathleen was a tireless advocate for women’s rights, gun control and other causes, continuing to march into her 70s - a passion matched only by her love of Broadway, movies and soap operas. 

A loving wife, mother and mother-in law, Kathleen is survived by her beloved husband Joseph Parente, son Christopher Bachand-Parente and his wife, Katie Nice, of New York, NY, as well as her rescue black labrador retriever, Emma.  She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Lee Condon and husband Jack Condon, and her nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donations in Kathleen’s honor may be made to Ann’s Place, 80 Saw Mill Road, Danbury, CT 06810 for their unending kindness and support to her in her battle with uterine cancer.
