Karin Barbara Kracht

Karin Barbara Kracht, age 66, passed away peacefully at Danbury Regional Hospice on March 18, 2022. A 1973 graduate of Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, NY, she received her Bachelor of Music History, Vocal Concentration in 1978 from St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN. 

Ms. Kracht's career breadth included Reader's Digest, Parents Magazine (Advertising Service Manager), a number of executive search firms, and ending at Eversource Energy in Newtown, CT. For 10 years she was a Benedictine Sister of Elizabeth, NJ. Ms. Kracht was a cantor, soloist and chorister throughout her life with parishes and groups in Fairfield and Westchester counties, and volunteer work was integral to her life. 

She is survived by her brother's Geoff (Dana) and Howard (Francesca) Kracht, and her nieces and nephews, Peter, Olivia, Elizabeth, Russell and Carsten.

A Vigil service at 9am will precede the Mass of Christian Burial at 10am on March 26, 2022 at St. Gregory the Great Parish, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury, CT. Committal will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, 71 Lake Avenue Ext, Danbury, CT. Memorial donations in her name may be made to Norwalk Hospital Pancreatic Cancer Research or the Women's Center of Greater Danbury.
