Karen E. Leonard passed on November 11th, 2025. She was born on July 13th, 1945 in Danbury, Connecticut daughter of Kenneth and Alice Peck (McGinley).
Karen was an avid sports enthusiast. She enjoyed watching her family participating in sports as well as watching professional and collegiate sports, particularly the UCONN Husky women’s basketball team. She loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was on camping trips, picnics or holiday get-togethers. Karen was probably best known for her infectious cackling laugh and love and pride in her family.
She is survived by her husband William and three sons: William A. Leonard Jr. (Dawn), Brian K. Leonard (Elaine), Jason R. Leonard (Joanne); Her memory is also carried on by her siblings: William Peck and Edy Tani; as well as her wonderful grandchildren: Thomas, William III, Teven, Brett, Brandon, Nicole, Mikayla, and Chelsea Leonards. She is also survived by her four great grandchildren: Kinsley, Natalie, Mia, and Luke.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, 5 Byron St Danbury, CT. on Friday, November 21st, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Burial will be at the discretion of the family.
