Julie, who peacefully passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, at the age of 41, was born on November 5, 1981, in Chennai, India. She spent her entire childhood and upbringing in Chennai, India, under the loving care of her parents, Anitha James and Valiamattathil Paul James. Julie had two siblings, Manju James and Sofiya James.
Julie's life was firmly centered around family, where she played various cherished roles. She was not only the beloved wife of Hanosh Panicker but also his closest confidante and lifelong companion. Her love extended to her four children, Leeyya, Izahbel, Joshuwa, and Jordan.
Julie was a remarkable lady, known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering care for her family. She worked at St. John's Riverside Hospital Yonkers, NY as an RN for eight years, where her dedication and compassion touched the lives of many. Beyond her professional life, she volunteered as a CCD teacher in St. Joseph's Mission NY, a testament to her commitment to education and faith.
Julie's diverse interests were a reflection of her vibrant spirit. She had a deep love for music, such as playing the Veena and practicing Bharatanatyam dance. She was also a skilled chess player. Her unparalleled passion for cooking and strong connection with nature were evident to all who knew her. Julie was a strong believer, and her faith was a guiding light in her life. Her memory will endure in the hearts of many, and her legacy will live on through the cherished memories she created.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday September 25, 2023 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street) from 5pm-8pm. A prayer service will begin around 7pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday September 26, 2023 at 10am at St. Mary's Church (26 Dodgingtown Rd, Bethel). Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
