Judith Marie Corrie

Judith “Judy” Marie Corrie passed away at the age of 83, surrounded by her loving family in the early hours of July 23, 2022 in Danbury, CT.  Judy was born on March 25, 1939 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Viola (Wiley) and George O'Doherty. 

Judy was an avid reader and loved to discuss her passion of books with others. She enjoyed long drives and listening to her favorite country music. She was always a big animal lover, from farm to house pets and she had the sweetest furry companions to grow old with. Judy was the most kind and gentle soul you’d ever meet; she had a bright smile that lit up any room. She had a heart too big for this world. Judy leaves many cherished memories with her family and friends, as she loved sitting, discussing memories and current world events over a fresh cup of coffee. She was truly the happiest simply spending time with those she loved. Judy worked at Costco for many years and made many friends until her retirement.

Judy will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Judy is survived by her loving daughters Denise Ukers (George), Kimberly Parsons (John), and Heather Colon (Eliazar), Siblings Deborah O'Sullivan, Daniela Melillo, and Doug Melillo as well as her beloved grandchildren Kaylin Pecor, Katrina Parsons, Christepher Perez, Ashley Corrie, John Parsons, George Ukers III, Zachary Ukers, and Kiana Parsons. Including many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. 

  Judy is predeceased by her late husband John M. Corrie, Mother Viola Melillo, Step-Father Daniel Melillo and her sister Violet Pearl, as well as her loving pet companions dog Sesi and cat Wiskers.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at  Bethel - United Methodist church  (141 Greenwood Ave, Bethel CT 06801)  on August 27, 2022 at 4:00pm.
