Joseph A. Wilson

Joseph A. Wilson, of Danbury, CT, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on October 20, 2023. He was 91 years old.

Born on January 20, 1932 in Ridgefield, CT, he was the son of the late Chauncey and Lena (Partrick) Wilson. Joe graduated from Ridgefield High School and honorably served in the United States Air Force.  He met and married the love of his life Jean Churchill after a chance encounter while square dancing. They married on September 13, 1952 and enjoyed 71 years of happiness and love together.

Joe was a technician/ delivery man for Casey Oil in Ridgefield, CT for over 40 years before retiring. You could always find him tinkering on anything that needed to be fixed. Joe loved mowing the yard, not only his, but you could often see him mowing his neighbor’s yard. His greatest passion in life was his family, he was an amazing husband who loved his wife unconditionally, and he was a great father, grandfather, and friend.

Joe is not only survived by his wife Jean of 71 years but also his two sons; Robert (Lucille) Wilson and Mark Wilson and his granddaughter Regina Wilson and many dear family and friends. He was predeceased by his son Michael Wilson in 2019.

A private cremation will be held per Joe’s wishes. Danbury Memorial Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
