Jose Felix Rodriguez Almonte passed away peacefully in the presence and comfort of his loving family on July 23, 2026, at Danbury Hospital. He was 30 years old.
Born on September 2, 1995, in Santiago, Dominican Republic, Jose was the beloved son of Humilde Almonte and Jose Felix Rodriguez Peralta.
Jose fulfilled one of his greatest dreams when he married the love of his life and the mother of his children, Francesca Pugliese, just two days before his passing.
Jose lived life with enthusiasm and joy. He enjoyed playing softball, riding his Jet Ski, hiking, biking, and spending time with his cousins playing dominoes. A devoted sports fan, he passionately supported both the New York Yankees and the Águilas Cibaeñas. He also took great pride in keeping his car spotless and well cared for. Above all else, Jose cherished time spent with his family and friends.
Jose is lovingly survived by his parents, his brother, Carlos; his beloved wife, Francesca; and his three cherished children, Jada, Jadelyn, and Jayden. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Yessica, in 2011.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jose’s life on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home, 117 South Street, Danbury, Connecticut.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Golden Hill Road, Danbury, Connecticut. Interment will immediately follow at Wooster Cemetery, Ellsworth Avenue, Danbury, Connecticut. Friends and family are invited to a reception at Hatters Park Banquet Hall on Hayestown Rd in Danbury at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jose’s memory to his current GoFundMe campaign, where funds will be used to establish a scholarship for his three children, or to Friends of Karen, a wonderful organization that provides tremendous support for children with life-threatening illness and their families.
