Jose Orlando Mendoza

Jose Orlando Mendoza, of Danbury, CT, passed away suddenly on March 9, 2026. He was 67 years old.

Jose was born on August 14, 1958, the son of Jose del Carmen Mendoza and Ana Licinia Herrera.

He was married to his beloved wife, Irma Arboleda, for more than 46 years. Jose found great joy in serving and caring for his family. Whether it was moving them across state lines, fixing and building things, cooking meals, planting and tending the garden, or helping in any way he could, he always gave of himself generously.

Jose especially loved to spoil his grandchildren and was truly adored by them. They looked forward to his famous French toast, hayrides, and popsicles at the farm—simple moments that became treasured memories.

Jose is survived by his loving wife, Irma; his children, Karol Jimenez, Jose Mendoza, Jonathan Mendoza, and Jason Mendoza; and his five grandchildren, Dominic Mendoza, Katalina Jimenez, Emmanuel Jimenez, Maiah Mendoza, and Isla Mendoza.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury, CT). A private cremation will follow.
