Jonathan Coelho (Known as Coelho to many) (age 32) passed away on Wednesday April 22,2020 after a courageous battle with Covid-19. Jonathan fought for 28 days in the hospital and 20 days on a ventilator, he was so close to recovery when his body just couldn’t fight anymore. Jonathan was a dedicated employee of the State of Connecticut for over 10 years. He was a hard worker with a kind soul. Jonathan had a smile that made anyone feel loved, and a hug that made you feel secure. Jonathan was the most amazing husband to his wife, best friend and soulmate Katie for 7 years. He loved the life they had built together, but his most cherished accomplishments were his two children Braedyn (age 2) and Penelope (age 10 months). His son Braedyn was born with several medical complexities including cerebral palsy, Jonathan and Katie took such pride in providing Braedyn with therapies 5 times a week and were dedicated to giving him the best services possible. Penelope was a complete Daddy’s girl, although she is young her world revolved around her dad, and Jonathan savored every moment he had with her. It’s unfair that Jonathan’s time with him family was cut so short. Jonathan only ever wanted to be there for his children and wife and this virus stole that away from him.
Jonathan was an avid New England Patriots fan since birth, his favorite thing on Sunday’s was putting matching Jersey’s with his kids and watching the Patriots play. He was also a longtime fan of the Band Underoath.
Jonathan will be so desperately missed, he never held a grudge or judged anyone. He always greeted everyone with a huge smile and a hug. He loved life and was looking forward to watching his children grow up and growing old with his wife.
Jonathan will desperately be missed by his family and friends. His Parents, Al and Donna Coelho, His sister Diana and Brother in Law Kevin Mallory, His sister Christina Coelho. His grandparents Alberto and Assuncao Coelho. His entire extended Coelho and Grenier family. The Trohalis, Janofsky, Lima, Nappi and Brent Families will also mourn his loss. He will also be so desperately missed by his nephews Oliver Mallory who was Jonathan’s little buddy and Oliver loved his “Tio” more than anything. His nephews Dylan and Mason will also miss their Uncle Jonathan so much.
The void Katie and their kids will have in their lives will never be filled. They know Jonathan fought hard to come home to them and will miss his love and smile every single day for the rest of their lives. They’ve lost their rock and foundation and they are beyond heartbroken.
