John Peter DiMeglio June 29, 1943 to December 22, 2025

John Peter DiMeglio,82, a 47-year resident of Redding, CT, died peacefully at home after a valiant battle with COPD.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda (Fumo) DiMeglio, son Michael and his wife Laura, grandchildren Addison and Jackson. In addition, he is survived by his twin sister, Lucia Buckley, his aunt Mary DiScala, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Patti and Ken Benson, his extended family of cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and his beloved dog Luke. 

John was a hard working, skilled carpenter his whole life. An avid outdoorsman with a quick wit and many, many stories. A doting grandfather who will be truly missed!

Interment will be private. A celebration of John's life will be held in the spring. Thanks to Regional Hospice for their kindness. Danbury Memorial Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
