John (Jack “JB”) Brown of Danbury, CT, formerly of the Bronx, NY passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025. He was 86 years old.
Born on November 13, 1938 in Bronx, NY, son of the late Frank and Dorothy (Collins) Brown.
John was a lineman with ConEdison Electric. He was born and raised in Bronx, NY. If you ever tip a glass in Woodlawn or the Bronx for that matter, odds are you know Jack (definitely an original) he was a friend to so many. He was a social person and enjoyed the company of others.
As his son Matt wrote “As I sat with him towards the end and talked about his life, friends, and family (a lot of funny stories). He knew his time was coming and he was at peace with it, and he wanted all of his friends and family to know that. Days before he died, I asked him what kind of message do you have for your friends and family about life and he said two words...Have Fun.”
Jack survived by his beloved children; Daniel (Karen Brown), Jacqueline (Donald) Kendall, Matthew (Marnita) Brown and Christopher (Brenda) Brown, his 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister: Patricia Walsh, and former wife: Barbara Brown.
A private cremation and service will be held by the family at a later date. Danbury Memorial Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Please visit www.danburymemorial.com to send the family condolences.
