Joan M. Taylor

Joan M. Taylor, a lifelong resident of Danbury, CT, died peacefully with her family by her side at Danbury Hospital on August 23, 2023. She was 87 years old.

Born on August 27, 1935 in Danbury, CT, daughter of the late Alan and May Irene (Clark) Rasmussen. Joan was a graduate of Danbury High School. Joan married the love of her life Donald W. Taylor in 1954, he predeceased his wife on May 22, 2010.

Joan worked for Technipower, located in Commerce Park, Danbury as a factory supervisor for many years before her retirement. Upon her retirement she became the best nanny to her grandchildren, spending time with them after school. Joan loved gardening, quilting and needle point.

She is survived by her loving children; Cindy Flanagan and Donald Taylor Jr., her 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by not only her husband but also her children; Edward Taylor and Wendy Yoder.
