Jessica Maribel Jara Cabrera of Danbury, CT, peacefully passed away after a short but valiant battle with cancer on March 22. 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was 31 years old. Born on July 1, 1994, in Azuay, Ecuador, she was the cherished daughter of Jorge Jara and Laura Cabrera,and married to Ivan Israel Gonzalez.
Jessica's greatest happiness was her family. She was a loving and caring mother to her four children and lived her life filled with joy and faith. A devoted follower of God, she found deep meaning in her Catholic faith and in serving her parish community. Her daily prayers and unwavering love for the Lord brought her peace and joy. Jessica was a true steward of God's gifts, spreading kindness, compassion, and light to everyone she met.
She leaves behind her husband Ivan, her beloved parents Jorge and Laura, and her wonderful children: Yeshua, Hamashiach, Abraham, and Joseph. She is also survived by her siblings, Angel Jara, Carlos Jara, Adriana Salazar ,and Lorena Jara, along with many nieces and nephews.
We invite you to join us for a heartfelt celebration of Jessica's life on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (29 Golden Hill Rd, Danbury) from 9am to 10am. A Mass of Catholic Burial will follow immediately at the same location, with burial taking place at Wooster Cemetery (20 Ellsworth Avenue, Danbury CT 06801). Let us come together to honor Jessica's beautiful spirit, as she has now returned to her Creator, having journeyed through life with faith, joy, and love.
