Jennifer McIntosh Obituary

Jennifer Marian McIntosh (nee Robertson) passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, at the age of 80 in Danbury, CT. Jennifer was a beloved mother and wife known for her kindness, selflessness, and loving nature.

Born April 7, 1946, in Morcambe, England, Jennifer grew up in Penrith where she met the love of her life, Gary McIntosh, at the age of 16. Married at 19, Jennifer and Gary spent their youth traipsing across the world, living in England, Mauritius, Saudi Arabia and Canada, expanding their family along the way.

Jennifer had a vibrant array of interests. She was an avid reader, learner and traveler, always eager to explore new places, cultures and hobbies. Her creative talents were boundless; she could sew a wedding dress, bake a tiered cake, knit a sweater, and even dance the jive. Jennifer was also an exceptional cook and enjoyed entertaining guests with her effortless perfection. Above all, she cherished creating lasting and beautiful memories for her family and friends.

One of our family's fondest memories is how Jennifer would spend all day baking to have trays of delicious bars and cookies ready in time for school dismissal. Each week, a parade of children would stop in her kitchen to pick up a baked treat, on their way home from school.

Jennifer is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gareth McIntosh; her son, Ian McIntosh and his wife Pat of Brampton, ON; her daughters, Wendy Clodd and her husband Don of Orangeville, ON, and Janet Caiola and her husband Ben of Ridgefield, CT. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Alexandria Dagenais and her husband Taylor of Brookside, NS; Grantham Clodd of Timberlea, NS; Jack Caiola of Rochester, MN; Alison Caiola of Denver, CO; and great-grandchildren, Kristopher and Clark Dagenais of Brookside, NS. She leaves behind her brother, Neale Robertson of Penrith, England.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Marian Robertson (nee Balmer), and her brother, Christopher Robertson.

A private memorial for Jennifer will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Regional Hospice of Danbury, honoring Jennifer's loving and giving spirit.
