Jeannette Wisker

Jeannette Wisker, of Danbury, CT, died after a quick but valiant battle with cancer on Friday June 3, 2022 at Danbury Hospital Center. She was 69 years old.

Born on April 11, 1953 in New Rochelle, NY, daughter of the late Louis and Sarah (Gray) Merolle. Jeannette graduated from St. Gabriel’s School, New Rochelle in 1971 and continued her education at Taylor Business Institute receiving her associate’s degree. Jeannette was married to the love of her life John Wisker until his death in 2013. Once John died, Sid, the dog who loved John more than anything, formed an unbreakable bond with her until his passing last year.

Jeanette had a heart of gold, she cared for everyone and fought for the underdog. She was the best advice giver and would always put a smile on your face. Jeannette enjoyed many different activities with the people closest to her including; framing, talking about art, NASCAR racing, Harry Potter marathons and going to concerts. She loved all holidays, but Christmas and getting to display her Christmas houses was her favorite.  Her greatest love and passion in life though was being a Grammie to her beloved grandchildren, she enjoyed all the time spent with them.

Jeannette is survived by her loving children; Alexandria Wisker of Cape Girardeau, MO, Katrina Wisker and her husband Christopher Tangredi of New Milford, CT and John Wisker and his partner Suzanne Longo of Danbury, CT, her dearest grandchildren; Cooper and Ellie Tangredi, her brother Louis Merolle and his wife Linda of Poughkeepsie, NY, several nieces and nephews, her daughter by heart Donna Petrillo and her many ‘adopted’ children over the years. Jeannette’s larger than life personality will be missed by many.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Tuesday June 7, 2022 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury) from 6pm-8pm. A private cremation will follow.
