Janice P. Lyons

Janice P. Lyons, of Danbury, CT, passed away on Saturday May 11, 2024 at Danbury Hospital. She was 69 years old.
Born on April 4, 1955 in Mount Kisco, NY, daughter of the late Urban and Mary Ellen (Palmer) Barrows. Janice graduated from Carmel High School- Class of 1973.
Janice married the love of her life Dana Lyons on July 6, 1996- they have lived a beautiful life together and he completed her.

She worked in pharmaceuticals as a data entry clerk. Since leaving there, Janice loved the beach, the pool and anything to do with sunshine. Gardening was her passion and she took great pride in her beautiful garden that she tended to daily in the warm weather when she wasn’t in Florida. On her vacations, she was always busy making new friends and enjoying old ones. Janice had a way of making everyone feel special- whether it be with fresh muffins, a small gift at your door, or her dazzling smile and mischievous nature to help you through whatever you were going through.

She loved her family fiercely- one and all- especially her 3 daughters, Abby being the “dog” gone favorite! Janice emanated light and love wherever she went- She sparkled and shone- and was
loved dearly by all that were touched by her kindness.

Janice is not only survived by her loving husband Dana but also her children; Kimberly Barrows (Anthony, her new and favorite Son), Katie Martin and Abby Lyons, her grandchildren; Noah and Emily Martin, her siblings; Stephanie Barrows, Barbara Saunders (Brian), Heidi Arnholm and Nancy Arnholm. There are so many cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved with all her heart- including, but not limited to, beloved nephew Michael Barrows (Tracy) and their children Maci and Rori, and her beloved niece Jessica Kelly.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Tuesday May 21, 2024 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury). A private cremation was
held.
