Janet A. Petrini

Janet A. Petrini of Danbury, CT, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024. Janet was born on January 18, 1935, in Englewood, NJ, to the late William J. and Anne (Califiore) Natalie.

Janet was predeceased by her beloved husband, Julio Petrini. She is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Joann Petrini and John Leopold, Lori and Tim Colley, and Julie and Craig Franson, and her seven grandchildren: Evan, Jacob, Julia, Natalie, Teresa, Mel, and Kathryn.
Besides her parents and husband, Janet was predeceased by her brother William J. Natalie, Jr.

After graduating high school, Janet began a fulfilling 14-year career at the Metropolitan in New York City. Her professional life was just one part of her rich and adventurous spirit. Janet loved to travel and created cherished memories with her friends and family as she explored the world. In her later years, Janet found joy and community at the Danbury Senior Center, where she embraced the friendships and activities that enriched her life. Her love for a good cannoli and unwavering support for the New York Yankees were endearing parts of her personality that brought smiles to those around her. Above all, Janet's greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. Her family was the heart of her existence, and her legacy will live on through the love and memories she imparted to them.

A celebration of Janet’s life will take place on September 21, 2024, at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home, 117 South St., Danbury, CT. The family will welcome visitors from 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m.; the family will be sharing a few words on Janet's life beginning at 10:30a.m.. At the request of the family, the burial will be private.
