Jamesetta Scott

Jamesetta Scott, of Danbury, CT, went to be with the lord on March 13, 2024. She was 78 years old.

Born on April 19, 1945 in Savanah, Georgia, daughter of the late James and Willie Mae (Coaxum) Scott. When she was 19, she moved to Danbury, CT.

Jamesetta enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and cooking!

She is survived by her loving children; Wanda Scott of Danbury, CT, Carla Scott of Augusta, GA, Darryl Scott of Danbury, CT,and Indira Scott of Waterbury, CT, her grandchildren Keyanda Scott of Danbury, CT, MarRian Scott of Orlando, FL, Miari Scott of Augusta, GA, Iesha Scott of Atlanta, GA, Desiree Scottof Danbury, CT and Reginya Greene (honorary) of Tampa, FL, her siblings; Cynthia Scott-Mayo (William) of Danbury, CT and Arma Jean Spencer (honorary) of Danbury, CT. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and great grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by her son Juan Eric Scott, four (4) sisters Thomasina Mitchell, Henrietta Scott-Brockington, Delores Elleby, Geraldine Swan, and three (3) brothers Marion Coaxum, James Scott Jr., and Charles Scott.

A celebration of life gathering will be held Friday March 22, 2024 at 10am at New Hope Baptist Church with a service beginning at 11am. Interment will follow at Wooster Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
