James "Jim" Thomson Nielsen

James “Jim” Thomson Nielsen, 46, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2021 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury CT after a long battle with cancer. Jim was born on February 28, 1974 in Greenwich, CT to James Edward Nielsen and Gail Zatorsky Nielsen.

Jim worked as an I.T. specialist for the Greenwich Public School System for many years and was extremely skilled in his profession. In his free time, he loved to spend time outdoors whether it was fishing, kayaking, or simply enjoying nature. He was a passionate cook and loved to try new recipes and grill for his family. He was a beloved fiancé, father, son, brother and friend who will be sincerely missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Jim is survived by his beloved son Edward James Nielsen, fiancé Patricia Hutton, brother Paul Nicholas Nielsen, sister-in-law Samantha Nielsen and niece Kayla Nielsen. As well as many family and friends.
