James Stark Johnstone

James Stark Johnstone passed away on March 10, 2022 at his home in Danbury, CT. James was born on July 3, 1944 in Stamford, CT to the late William Johnstone and Charlotte Stark Johnstone.

James proudly served in the United States Airforce, playing trombone in the Airforce band. Following his service, he graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a BS in Chemistry, leading him to work as the Director of Sales and Marketing Service for JRS Pharma LP.

In his free time, James had a great passion for music and was a valuable member of the Berkshire Big Band and Sonny Caroll Orchestra for over 30 years. Nourishing his love of science, he greatly enjoyed the time he spent volunteering for the McCarthy Observatory in New Milford, CT. James found peace in maintaining his home and garden, with his trusty dog Enzo by his side.

James is survived by his three loving children; daughter Karen Ruth Johnstone (husband Pier), daughter Laura Grace Stark, and son Stuart Warren Johnstone (wife Jen).

Services are to be held at 1pm on April 9th at the Tarrywile Mansion in Danbury, CT.
