Ida E. Mazzari

Ida E. Mazzari passed away peacefully on January 3, 2022 at her home in New Fairfield CT while surrounded by her loving family. Ida was born on September 27, 1930 in Montreal, Canada to the late Giuseppi and Angelina Saccomani. Beloved wife of the late George Mazzari.

Ida was a devoted mother and wife, her family was her life. Ida loved to spend time gathering with family and friends, her favorite field trips being to the casino where she would play slots and bingo to her hearts content.

Ida is survived by her three beloved children: son Joseph Mazzari, son Richard Mazzari, and daughter Debra Oconnell. Four grandchildren: Kimberlee Mazzari, Nicole Mazzari, Danielle Mazzari and Jenna Oconnell. As well as two great grandchildren: Nicholas Jakaboski, Brandon Jakoboski and her brother Alfred “Freddy” Saccomani. In addition to her beloved husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Irma and Mary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on March 19, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Edwards the Confessor Church, New Fairfield, CT. Private burial to be held by the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ida’s honor can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
