Gloria May Willcox, a lifelong resident of the greater Danbury area, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on November 3, 2025. She was 89 years old.
Born on October 13, 1936 in Danbury, CT, daughter of the late George and Eva Robson. She worked for Pitney Bowes as an assembler for over 30 years before retiring.
Gloria was married to her beloved husband Lloyd Peter Willcox (Pete) for many years before his passing on June 12, 2012. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved to spend time with her family. A great passion of hers was learning about her family tree and her heritage. She enjoyed crafting; especially jewelry making and ceramics, she also enjoyed baking for her family.
Gloria is lovingly survived by her children; Frederick Yorks and Barbara Farrell and her husband Thomas, her grandchildren; Thomas, Kayla, Christina, Kelly and Robert, her 11 great-grandchildren, her siblings and her beloved niece Gloria Lynn Avery. She was predeceased by her son Robert Yorks and her sister Betty Tenk.
A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery (Rt 302, Bethel) on Saturday November 8, 2025 at 1pm. Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street) assisted the family with arrangements.
