German Abreu, of Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home on October 11, 2024 with his beloved family by his side. He was 91 years old.
Born on May 12, 1933 in Dominican Republic, son of the late Jose Abreu and Maria Almonte. German was married to the love of his life Maria Aleja Bido de Abreu. German was a chef at Western Connecticut University in Danbury, CT.
He is not only survived by his beloved wife Maria but also his children: Plutarco, Roberto, George, Víctor, Magdelin and Diomary, his grandchildren; Rosmery, Winy, Rohalvis, Wilfer, Nathaly, Omelisa, John, Richard, Carolibeth, Catherine, Marbel, Wilber, Noelia and Jessica and his great grandchildren; Andrés, Leah, Obi, Xavier and Ambrose.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday October 13, 2024 from 1pm-4pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury) with a service around 1pm. A private cremation will follow. Please visit www.Danburymemorial.com to send the family condolences.

Nació el 12 de Mayo de 1933 en República Dominicana, hijo de los fallecidos José Abreu y María Almonte. German estaba casado con el amor de su vida, María Aleja Bido de Abreu. German era chef en la Western Connecticut University en Danbury, CT.
