Obituary

Francesca D. (Ricucci) Bradley, of New Fairfield, CT, died suddenly in a tragic accident at the Nyack Marina in Rockland County on July 30, 2023.

Fran was born on January 7, 1974 at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. She is the daughter of Gladys (Ocasio) Detlor and Frank D. Ricucci, but for most of her life was raised by Gladys and Gregory Detlor. She recently was telling her mom all about the wonderful things Greg taught her growing up. “I am a great driver thanks to Dad. I’m so lucky to have had him as a part of my life. He will always hold a special place in my heart.” Fran graduated from Monsignor Scanlan High School in the Bronx and continued her education at Iona College, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting. Recently she began to take online courses for her Master’s Degree. She was striving to become a Criminal Lawyer.

Fran worked as a Financial Services Professional with Bank of New York Mellon in New York City from 1993-2014, where she worked her way up from a Clerk to a Vice President / Client Services Officer. Her career there shaped her way of life and her love of the Financial Services industry. Over the past few years, she held several part-time jobs which included working overnight at BJ’s Wholesale Club. Fran was an extremely hard worker with dynamic skills.

Fran was a devoted New York Yankees fan. She purchased the old stadium seats where she enjoyed many games as a season ticket holder for many years, and she enjoyed collecting Yankee memorabilia. Fran loved to travel and fell in love with Ireland.  She always spoke about going back there. However, her favorite food was Italian cuisine, and she enjoyed recreating many popular Italian dishes. She was also very creative and gifted with her hands. For many years, Fran baked for charities including her mom’s Christian church, ADMD in Danbury, CT. She considered Pastor Salvani a trustworthy and close friend, and he would always make himself available when she needed someone to talk to. Above all else, Fran was a wonderful daughter and loving sister. She was a true friend to many and had childhood friends whom she truly loved.

Fran is survived by her loving mother, Gladys Detlor, her brother Michael Detlor, her second father, Gregory Detlor, and her boyfriend Brian Bogart. She is in the arms of her grandmother, Esilda Ocasio, and all of those who predeceased her.
