Frances M Mooney

Frances M. Mooney, died peacefully with her beloved family by her side on April 24, 2023 at Danbury Hospital. She was 96 years old.

Born on January 21, 1927 in New York City, NY, daughter to the late Francis Mooney and Mary (Brimley) Mooney. Frances worked at Columbian Presbyterian Medical Center for over 40 years in the medical records department before retiring.

Frances had a heart of gold. She was the kindest person you could meet and was always helping others, especially her family. Frances was a devoted Catholic and a parishioner of St. Peter’s Church. In her younger years Frances loved to dance, she enjoyed school performances and listening to old show tunes.

Ms. Mooney lived a life full of love, smiles, and laughter. She is lovingly survived by her nephews; Daniel Mooney and his wife Allison, Joseph Mooney and his wife Darcy Bernhardt and her niece Candace Mooney. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings; Marjorie, Richard and Joseph and her beloved sidekick and best friend Meto.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Thursday April 27, 2023 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury) from 9am-10am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Church (104 Main Street, Danbury) at 10:30am. Burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery (Rt 37, New Fairfield, CT)
