Filipe Fialho Fernandes

Filipe Fialho Fernandes passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2021 at New Milford Hospital in New Milford, CT. Filipe was born on May 25, 1983 in Lisbon, Portugal to Arildo Fernandes and the late Ester Miriam Fialho.

Filipe immigrated to the United State of America in May of 2003, and proudly became a U.S. citizen in the summer of 2016. He was extremely proud of this accomplishment and had great American pride.

Filipe’s greatest passion was his art, he worked as a self-employed tattoo artist who was well versed in many different techniques and styles. Through his work he formed an incredible number of friendships and connections, becoming a staple in his local community. When he wasn’t at his shop, he loved to gather family and friends for picnics. Often deeming himself the grill master, barbecuing and smoking assorted foods.

Filipe will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and they will miss his contagious laughter.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his two sisters: Adriana Vieira and Vitoria Cardoso. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Thursday May 27th, 2021 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St., Danbury CT 06810) from 5 to 7 p.m. The services are open to the public and will also be live streamed.
