Ethel G. Rogers, of Danbury, CT, went to the lord and those who went before her on May 8, 2024. She was 102.
Born on June 23, 1921 in Bantam, CT, daughter of the late Kenneth Way and Eva Moore.
Ethel was a seamstress for Reeds Department Store. She loved to sew and crochet. Ethel was an avid member of the United Methodist Church; she enjoyed participating in the choir and played the bells. She was also a volunteer with Helping Hands. Ethel loved everything and anything that involved cats. Her greatest passion and joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ethel is lovingly survived by her grandchildren; Rosalie Edwards, John Marshall, Melinda Hoey, Kim Bernal (Drew Helmus) and Brad Marshall (Debbie),many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Ruth Beaudry in 2018 and a grandchild.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Monday May 13, 2024 from 4pm-6pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street). The service will begin at 6pm. A private cremation will follow.
