Eric Diaz

Eric Diaz, of New Milford, CT, passed away in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his kids and wife after a strong and courageous battle with brain cancer. He was 45 years old.

Born on April 21, 1980 in New York City, NY, son of Edwin Diaz and Elba Olivo.

Eric met the love of his life Jessica Garcia in college. They married on August 3, 2002 and enjoyed over 20 years of love and memories.

No matter what challenges Eric faced he was always positive and smiling, he could always be found dancing and having a great time. Eric was a wonderful husband and dad. He was very involved with his children, attending all sporting events and was always there to listen with an open ear.  Eric also loved to watch and play sports.

Eric is not only survived by his beloved wife Jessica and his parents, but also his children; Eric Diaz Jr. (Fiancé Tatiana), Madison Diaz, Anthony Dallas Diaz and Jordyn Diaz, his maternal grandmother Luisa Olivo, his stepmother Teresita Nadal and his siblings; Tiana Diaz, Gloribel Diaz, Erica Vega and his niece Gloriana Crenshaw. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday January 23, 2026 from 5pm-7pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury). A private cremation will be held prior.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating in Eric’s memory to his family, a box will be at the funeral home for cards/donations.
