Eric Francis Channey

Eric Francis Channey passed away peacefully on May 8, 2021.  Eric was born on March 5, 1962 in Norwalk, CT to the late Marion Lavoie Haskell.

Eric spent most of his life as a resident of Bethel, CT where he maintained many friends and relationships.  To say that he was a people person would be an understatement.  Eric cherished spending time talking with those close to him and was always friendly to anyone he met.  In his free time, he loved to spend time with friends, listen to music, sing karaoke, and relax with his wife and many Maltese dogs.  He loved his dogs and raised litters of puppies which he shared with family and friends. 

Eric is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-four years, Harriet Channey, five siblings: brothers Allan Channey of Woodstock, John (Lynn) Channey of Deland, FL, sisters Tami Whitlock of Narragansett, RI, Bonnie (Mark) Rebb of Middlebury, Cynthia (Ted) Gagne of Thompson, and sisters-in-law Helen (George) Marsh, Mary Roberts, brothers-in-law William Mills Jr., and Richard Mills all of Bethel, along with many nieces and nephews.  Eric is predeceased by his mother Marion Haskell, step-father Maurice Haskell, brother Stephen Channey, mother-in-law Helen Mills, and father-in-law William Mills, as well as many beloved pets.
