Enriqueta Breiding, 89, passed away on November 21st , 2025 in Danbury CT. She was born on February 9th , 1936, in Lima, Peru to Felipe and Teresa Mejia.
Our dear Queta was a woman of radiant joy, loving, and always ready with a smile that lifted the room. She loved to dance, to savor good food, and to share moments that brought people together. More than anything, she was a quiet woman of faith, reminding all of us never to lose trust in our Lord and in the loving protection of the Virgin Mary. She was cherished by everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. A kiss to heaven, sent with all our love, from her sisters, her brother, and all her nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered as an amazing sister and a loving aunt who helped raise her youngest sister with unwavering care and dedication. Her joy for life was unmistakable, found in delicious food, shared laughter, and the simple pleasure of her little glass of beer.
Known affectionately as Quetilla and Mamama, she is cherished for her strength, warmth, and abundant love. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, embraced once again by those who went before her. The love she poured into her family will remain forever in their hearts. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Guillermo F. Breiding. She is also survived by her beloved children, Nancy Breiding, Martha Breiding, and John Charles Breiding. She leaves behind her sisters, Esther Gonzalez, Teresa Lopez, and Carmela Ruiz, and brother, Felipe Meija. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Renzo Ortega, Andre Ortega, Debra Breiding, and Daniel Breiding. Her great grandchildren; Kolbe Ortega, John Paul Ortega, Gianna Ortega, Thomas Ortega, and Ben Ortega.
