Obituary

Elrick A. Mora passed away on June 27, 2022 in Redding, CT. Elrick was born on August 23, 1991 in Danbury CT to Elizabeth Acosta and the late Marco A. Mora. 

Following his high school graduation, Elrick followed in his father’s footsteps becoming a landscaper for Mora Masonry and Landscaping and took over the business in 2020 following his father’s passing. He was extremely skilled and proud to continue the legacy that his father started.  

In his free time, Elrick was passionate about driving and working on his cars. He could often be found playing against his friends on his Xbox, and enjoyed the time he spent with his family, especially his niece and nephew. His favorite sports were basketball and football and he relished in cheering on his favorite teams. 

In addition to his beloved mother, Elizabeth, Elrick is survived by his daughter Kiana Mora who was the light of his life. Brother Andy Mora, brother Aaron Cuenca, stepfather Fredy Cuenca, and paternal grandmother Berta Vallejo. He is also survived by his beloved dog Nacho, who was a loyal companion who never left his side. Elrick is predeceased by his father Marco A. Mora, paternal grandfather, and maternal grandparents. 

A Visitation will be held on Friday July 1, 2022 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St, Danbury CT 06810) from 5 pm to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday July 2, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (29 Golden Hill Rd, Danbury CT 06810) at 10 am with a Graveside Service to follow at Wooster Cemetery in Danbury CT.

Elrick A. Mora falleció el 27 de junio de 2022 en Redding, CT. Elrick nació el 23 de agosto de 1991 en Danbury CT de Elizabeth Acosta y el difunto Marco A. Mora.

Después de graduarse de la escuela secundaria, Elrick siguió los pasos de su padre y se convirtió en paisajista de Mora Masonry and Landscaping y se hizo cargo del negocio en 2020 tras el fallecimiento de su padre. Era extremadamente hábil y estaba orgulloso de continuar el legado que comenzó su padre.

En su tiempo libre, a Elrick le apasionaba conducir y trabajar en sus autos. A menudo se le podía encontrar jugando contra sus amigos en su Xbox y disfrutaba el tiempo que pasaba con su familia, especialmente con su sobrina y sobrino. Sus deportes favoritos eran el baloncesto y el fútbol y disfrutaba animando a sus equipos favoritos.

Además de su amada madre, Elizabeth, a Elrick le sobrevive su hija Kiana Mora, quien fue la luz de su vida. El hermano Andy Mora, el hermano Aaron Cuenca, el padrastro Fredy Cuenca y la abuela paterna Berta Vallejo. También le sobrevive su amado perro Nacho, quien fue un fiel compañero que nunca se apartó de su lado. Elrick es antecedido en muerte por su padre Marco A. Mora, abuelo paterno y abuelos maternos.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el viernes 1 de julio de 2022 en Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St, Danbury CT 06810) de 5:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. Se llevará a cabo una misa de entierro cristiano el sábado 2 de julio de 2022 en la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (29 Golden Hill Rd, Danbury CT 06810) a las 10 a. m., seguida de un servicio junto a la tumba en el cementerio de Wooster en Danbury CT.
