Ellen Anne Doutney

Ellen Anne Doutney passed away peacefully with her sisters by her side on June 5, 2024. She was born on August 29, 1952 to Thomas and Angela (Defazio))Doutney in Danbury, Connecticut. Ellie enjoyed spending endless hours listening to her music while working on her artistic creations. However, she was always ready to go when the opportunity arose. Her greatest joy was being with her sisters, and despite her challenges, they enjoyed many adventures and travels together.  Ellen was a kind, gentle and caring soul. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. 

Ellen is survived by her sisters, Karen and Donna Doutney and Donna‘s partner, Louise Pelletier, as well as the many people she came to call her friend.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at St Peter’s Church,  104 Main St., Danbury, CT on Thursday, June 13 at 10:30 AM with an interment to immediately follow at St Peter’s Cemetery 71 Lake Ave. Ext, Danbury, Connecticut

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ellen‘s memory to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital.
Karen and Donna would like to thank the staff at St. John Paul Health  Center for their dedicated care and compassion over the last year. A special thanks to Dr. Myron Glucksman for his unwavering care of Ellen to the end.
